Ousmane Dembele Agrees New PSG Contract Until 2030

Ousmane Dembele is poised to commit his long-term future to Paris Saint-Germain, with an agreement in place to extend his contract until 2030. The reigning Ballon d’Or winner will add two more years to his existing deal, which was set to expire in 2028.

Agreement Reached, Formal Signing Pending

According to L’Equipe, the extension has been agreed but not yet formally signed or announced by the club. The remaining formalities are expected to be completed in the coming weeks, bringing an end to speculation about the French international’s future.

Dembele had made clear before this summer’s World Cup that he wanted to remain in Paris and continue building his legacy with the European champions. Despite attracting interest from elsewhere, including from Saudi Arabia, the 29-year-old has ultimately chosen to extend his stay at the Parc des Princes.

A Defining Figure in PSG's Success

The agreement represents another major commitment between PSG and the player who has become the defining individual figure of Luis Enrique’s hugely successful side. Dembele joined PSG from Barcelona in 2023 and has since transformed from an unpredictable winger into a devastating central attacker under Enrique’s guidance.

That transformation peaked during the 2024/25 campaign, when he inspired PSG to their first Champions League title, finishing the season with 37 goals and 15 assists before winning the Ballon d’Or. He followed that historic campaign by helping PSG retain the Champions League last season, scoring the equalising penalty against Arsenal before the French side won the final on penalties.

Domestic Dominance Continues

PSG have also retained their domestic dominance, leaving Dembele with the opportunity to add further major honours during the additional years covered by his new agreement. His immediate focus is now returning to full rhythm after being given additional rest following a demanding summer.

PSG confirmed last week that the decision was agreed between Dembele, Enrique and the sporting hierarchy, with the forward scheduled to resume training with the group on Monday.

Uncertainty Removed

Dembele publicly removed much of the uncertainty surrounding his immediate future in May when he said there was a “100 per cent” chance of him remaining at PSG for the 2026/27 campaign. The impending extension provides further stability for a PSG side attempting to sustain an unprecedented period of success.

Saudi Arabia or another destination outside Europe may eventually become an option for the French international, but that decision has been pushed further into the future. For now, the reigning Ballon d’Or winner intends to continue making history in Paris.
